Just looked around your old tracks. Underrated song, needs to be used by Nintendo.

Midnights-Ocean responds:

zomg I never saw this comment! Thanks! ^_^

At the beginning I was hesitant, but it built up to quite an enjoyable song. I really like these synths around 02:56 and how these arpeggios give a very nice sound to the ear. My only recommendation is more balance in volume between the different instruments and elements.

Good work

Hey, nice to see another music producer which uses LMMS.

This is quite good work, I like the build-up and transitions and the small fast percussion which you added around 0:50. I like the instrument around 01:35, but I feel like in some parts it doesn't seem to completely fit with the other melodies and instruments if you listen very closely, I don't know if you can hear the same but perhaps you can give it a listen a few times to see if you can fix it. I like the drowsy feeling at the beginning of this track and how you generally built up all the different instruments in this track.

Good work

Right from the start gives me goosebumps, you got great vocals here and I can really hear how you gave a poppy sound to this song. The original has a very medieval-like feeling to it while you have transformed it into a nice Trance song. This is really recorded with very clear vocals and a nice small reverb after it. The mastering is good without instruments or elements which don't get enough space, it sounds like a dream adventure which also fits with the original song. The outro is a nice ending to it as well.

I can't really give any advice on what to improve as the production quality seems to be high and I can only say that this is a very well produced song.

SkyMarshall responds:

Thanks man :) Love it.

Very eery intro, I like the part which you have around 0:30, this would fit very well for an animation of sort as background music for some mysterious and danger-filled scene. Good build-ups and transitions in this, with a nice percussion change at 01:45 and a change in the melody of the bass wobble after this, although I think that it sounds a bit empty here for some time with just the bass wobble and drums, but the synth after that makes up for it. I think that what could improve it is to add more effects to it. At the part before 03:25 when more energy is pumped in again.

Would fit very well for ancient mystery-themed stuff. Good job.

FwWFW responds:

That's a very useful review. Thanks bud. Love ya

This sounds more like a mix between Drum and Bass and Dubstep, starting with a Dubstep-like part with the Drum and Bass part kicking in around 00:52.

I like the clear synth waves and the adventure-like feeling around 01:22, there seems to be a good balance between instruments here with good transitions in tempo and style, but I agree with some others that it would be good to try to get more variety down with the melodies. As you can hear the main synth repeats a lot, adding small variations in the melody can help to make it more interesting, that's a small thing though, it's a good song so you get a good score.

Edit: I just saw your age. Quite good work for someone of your age, keep it going, dude, my stuff sounded like crap when I was around your age.

AveonMusic responds:

Thank you so much for your support! I'm still kind of new to music production and I really appreciate this type of support. I'll try to have some variation with melodies next time!

I like the build-up, really love the percussion and build up around 02:20 after the acoustic part which has a very Spanish feeling to it in the beginning. This has a really good sound to it and a roughness and mystic feeling to it which you hear in more metal songs. Good job!

Pretty good stuff, this is what a cowboy walking around in a dubstep world sounds like.

Sounds trippy, I really like the part around 00:33. It would work very well for some trippy video I think. The reverb sounds fit very well in this considering the vocals, I hadn't even heard your song before I published mine, but it is interesting how you use a bitcrusher at the end too.

It sounds cool.

Midnights-Ocean responds:

Thanks brah. I'm hoping to find an animator so I can get a vid done for this but I doubt I will. I don't think I often use bit crushing but when I do, there seems to be a sweet spot around 12 bit depth (if memory serves).

Good atmosphere, would work well in a dance club. I like the synth you use around 0:45. The build-up works well in this song, I would fix that part around 01:22, like ADR3-N said, it is a shame for such a good song that this kind of ruins it for some people. Still a good song. :)

B0UNC3 responds:

Oh shit, I never realized that I left a sour note in there.... Whoops XD.
Thanks <3
